I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.

Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
